HFSS Score: 4
HFSS, it is an abbreviation of High in Fat, Salt and Sugar. The Government Department of Health’s Nutrient Profiling model is used to classify food and beverage products that are HFSS and attribute a score. It uses a scoring system which balances the contribution made by beneficial nutrients; fibre content with components that we should consume less of, fat, sugar etc. The lower the score, the “better-for-you” the product, apparently. The HFSS classification restricts the promotion and prominent placement or display of products within retail stores. The restrictions that the Government has placed on HFSS products aims to encourage, so called, healthier eating. More information can be found on the UK Government website here These regulations may be enforced by trading standards or environmental health officers depending on local arrangements.

To salt, or not-to-salt, that is the question. Yes, this big can of SLABS crisps contains naked crisps but with two blue sachets of salt which you can add yourself (or not as the case maybe), so hence they're called to Salt or Not. Personally, I do like the naked crisps, big thick and made with olive oil, delicious! The 250g tin design harks back to the era that gave birth to the artisan crisp, the art deco style is stunning and makes for a super crispy keepsake.. So when the crisps are all gone, you can either refill it or use the tin for something else. It's a super gift idea, we love it. We Love Crisps
