HFSS, it is an abbreviation of High in Fat, Salt and Sugar. The Government Department of Health’s Nutrient Profiling model is used to classify food and beverage products that are HFSS and attribute a score. It uses a scoring system which balances the contribution made by beneficial nutrients; fibre content with components that we should consume less of, fat, sugar etc. The lower the score, the “better-for-you” the product, apparently. The HFSS classification restricts the promotion and prominent placement or display of products within retail stores. The restrictions that the Government has placed on HFSS products aims to encourage, so called, healthier eating. MELLOW SWEET CHILLI SLABS, the massive crisp in a massive 160g huge sharing bag, I'd be simply too embarrassed to eat these all to myself so on this occasion, I think I will have to consider this a proper sharing bag (darn it!). The scale of crisp is four times bigger and thicker than standard crisps yet the fat and calories are no worse than many competitor hand-cooked crisps and in some cases, SLABS contain less but does it matter anyway, this is an indulgent treat, made with our own blend of sunflower oil and olive oil, the best seasoning, all in all, a super-duper potato crisp. Ingredients: potato, sunflower oil, olive oil, mellow sweet chilli seasoning (7%) (rice flour, sugar, dried soy sauce (soy beans, salt, spirit vinegar), garlic, salt, tomato, yeast extract, chilli, parsley, cumin, dried lemon juice, paprika extract, acidity regulator (citric acid), natural flavouring, fennel seeds). Allergen: soy. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Gluten free.
